WIP - Tribute to The Legend of Zelda

One of my greatest influences in fantasy adventure is the Legend of Zelda series.  I just had to come up with something for an upcoming competition!

Myanmar

Sketch from a couple days ago -- I was trying to simplify the shapes and detail, but preserve the locations' realistic color.

Annapurna

After playing Uncharted 2, I've found I really like Annapurna.  Maybe I'll go there myself someday.

Blending Modes Tutorial

As requested -- a detailed tutorial on using blending modes in Photoshop!

For more skilled artists who know about this stuff, there are some good tricks in here about removing undesired line work and artifacts using blending modes.

Canyon Temple

Needed to practice my landscapes more -- it's amazing how out of touch your landscape skills get when you've been doing nothing but character art for a month!

Coast Temple

Studying Ireland helps!  I looked at photos of Strath Mor to get me inspired to do this study.  Learned a lot about how to set up realistic skies in 3D space.
